AGN EURM2017 Conference
2017-06-14
As the Hungarian Member of the AGN International organization, in June we were happy to greet other AGN Member Companies at the EURM2017 Conference in Budapest.
AGN is an international association aiming to ally companies involved in tax consulting, auditing, accounting and financial services into a cross-border network that shares cooperative, synergistic, and professional knowledge and experience, but takes maximum account of the individual values and independence. There are currently 182 Member Companies in 87 countries of five regions around the world, while the number of employees has exceeded 11,000. The number of Member Companies is steadily expanding, enabling us to provide support for our Clients' foreign transactions cooperating with local, reliable and highly professional partners all over the World.
The European Regional Conference was held between 8-10 June at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, and as co-organizers we could actively participate both in the preparations and the specific programs.
The AGN Members arrived from more than 20 countries, and we could meet them already on Thursday at the hotel reception and the shorter presentations, and at the evening greetings, the managing director of PMX Consulting, János Szalai officially welcomed the participants.
On Friday, professional lectures were held all day long, concerning for instance the BEPS Action Plan, US Holding company structure, the effects of digitization on tax consulting, and tax optimization. PDF materials of the lectures can be downloaded from here.
On Friday evening, after a sightseeing tour the delegates dined at the Gundel Restaurant, and on Saturday morning there were also some shorter tax workshops.
Based on the feedback we received so far and our own experiences, we can claim that the Conference was extremely successful in all respects, as the personal and shared knowledge base of the participants was expanded with numerous relevant information and experiences, as well as we, the staff of PMX Consulting had a great chance to develop business relationships, which can prove to be very useful during the professional assistance of our Clients' foreign transactions.
We are pleased to announce that organizing the Conference in Budapest and the co-organizing role we received in this process was a tremendous opportunity for us to maximize the benefits we have gained, and we aim to use this knowledge, experience and network in favour of our Clients’ needs.
In this spirit, we will publish in Hungarian for example some relevant case studies and the Tax Comparison Database started last year.
